KETCH
Memorial Trust
The
KETCH Memorial Trust was created by the Kansas Elks Association in 1977
for the benefit of the Kansas Elks Training Center for the Handicapped
(KETCH). All contributions to the Trust are held in the Trust and only
the investment income is used for projects at KETCH.
The Trust is administered by a Board of Trustees made up of five members
of the Kansas Elks Association. Two Trustees represent the general membership
of the Association, One Trustee representing the KETCH Board of Directors,
and two that represent the Past State Presidents.
All members and Lodges are encouraged to contribute to the Trust in
memory of a deceased member, relative, or friend in lieu of sending
flowers. Where flowers are discarded in 4-5 days a gift to the trust
continues to benefit KETCH in perpetuity. The family of the deceased
member always receives prompt notification of the gift and, of course,
the amount of the gift is not disclosed. In addition, since the Trust
is qualified under section 501c(3) of the internal revenue code, all
contributions are fully tax deductible.
Contributions to the Trust can also be used to honor living members
for any occasion, including birthdays, anniversaries, get-well wishes,
etc. Again, all contributions are fully tax deductible. Contribution
envelopes are available from KETCH.
